Recently, I attended the Perm Winter School '26, an annual conference that brings together students, researchers, and professionals from finance, IT, and environmental sectors. This non-profit event aimed to explore advancements in various fields. I initially expected to hear that AI was on the verge of mastering market trading, but the reality was quite different. The discussions and presentations highlighted a more sobering view for those still searching for a 'magic button' to generate profits using large language models (LLMs). The event was organized by both classical and technical universities in Perm, showcasing a blend of academic and practical insights.
