Hello, Habr! I'm Vadim, a developer working on the QA platform at Ozon. While Go's standard testing capabilities are sufficient for unit tests, more complex end-to-end scenarios require additional features such as Allure reports, plugins, suites, parameterization, and parallel execution. We couldn't find a tool in the Go ecosystem that met all these needs without disrupting the familiar go test workflow, so we created our own solution: Testo. Currently, Testo supports over 60,000 tests across more than 500 Ozon services, and we are excited to announce its release as an open-source project. In this article, I will demonstrate how Testo and its plugins can transform a simple Go test into a comprehensive e2e scenario complete with reports, fixtures, hooks, and steps, all while maintaining a familiar structure.
