My name is Ilkhom Askarov, and I am an engineer and researcher specializing in space technology, electronics, and unmanned systems. In 2020, I founded Markos Technologies, a small engineering firm focused on developing research and technological solutions. Over the years, we have worked on various projects, but our primary focus has shifted towards space exploration, both in Russia and internationally. Currently, we are developing a small satellite named 'Polar-M' in the CubeSat 3U format. Our goal is to create a flying engineering laboratory that allows us to test our innovations, including communication systems, onboard electronics, power supply, and electric propulsion technologies. We are particularly interested in the Arctic region, aiming to establish communication and data transmission capabilities in polar areas using small satellites. In this blog, I will share insights not only about our achievements but also about our processes: how we design systems, build prototypes, select components, conduct tests, and turn theoretical ideas into tangible engineering solutions. I will document both our successes and the challenges we face, as setbacks are a common part of engineering. Join me on this journey as we at Markos Technologies strive to launch our satellite into orbit. Excited to connect with the Habr community!
