Meta is broadening its live shopping capabilities on Facebook and Instagram, enabling businesses to reach wider audiences through Live Video Ads. This initiative allows sellers to promote livestreams and directly drive sales from these interactive experiences. In the U.S., Meta collaborates with various live commerce platforms, such as CommentSold and Firework, to help sellers convert eligible livestreams into advertisements that extend their reach. Facebook's Live Shopping Tools enhance the viewer experience by allowing users to explore products and pricing without leaving the livestream. Additionally, starting this summer, Meta will introduce a virtual card payment option in partnership with Mastercard and Visa. This feature generates temporary card numbers linked to users' existing payment methods, enhancing security by preventing merchants from accessing actual card details. For advertisers, Meta is integrating product data into all Sales campaigns, allowing for a seamless combination of product feeds and creative assets. This AI-driven approach aims to deliver the most relevant ads to users. Overall, these advancements aim to streamline the shopping process, reduce friction, and boost consumer confidence, ultimately driving higher conversion rates.
