In May 2026, the second Tuesday brought a wave of software updates from leading tech companies like Microsoft, Apple, Google, Mozilla, and Oracle, all aimed at enhancing security. Microsoft alone addressed 118 vulnerabilities across its Windows operating systems and other products, marking a notable shift as it did not release any patches for urgent zero-day vulnerabilities for the first time in nearly two years.
